Just hours after landing a two-episode gig on Fox's "Glee," the singer-actress has closed a deal to star as Snow White in the El Portal Theatre's holiday musical.
It’s a good day to be Lindsay Pearce.
Hours after Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy declared all four Glee Project finalists winners in some capacity, Pearce has closed a deal to play Snow White in the El Portal Theatre’s holiday musical A Snow White Christmas.
Marina Sirtis (Star Trek) co-stars as The Wicked Queen and How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris will play a special onscreen guest role as The Magic Mirror in the updated version of the classic Disney fairy tale. In a comedic twist, A Snow White Christmas will also feature modern music including Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and The Village People’s “YMCA” as well as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
The Lythgoe Family Productions' show, which opens Nov. 30 and runs through Dec. 18 at the Los Angeles theater, will be directed by Bonnie Lythgoe(So You Think You Can Dance Australia) and choreographed by Dancing With the Stars’ Mark Ballas. American Idol’s Michael Orland is on board as musical director.
As a runner-up on The Glee Project, Pearce will guest star in two episodes of Fox’s Glee during its upcoming third season.
Pearce becomes the latest actress to play Snow White: ABC has set Ginnifer Goodwin for the role in its upcoming fall drama Once Upon a Time; Universal has Snow White and the Huntsman, with Kristen Stewart; and Relatvity Media has Lily Collins in the belvoed role of its untitled big-screen project.
