'Glee': Stage Actor to Cause Trouble for Kurt and Blaine

Grant Gustin may be the latest love-to-hate character heading to Fox’s Glee.

The stage actor, who most recently played Baby John in the national touring production of West Side Story, has been cast as Sebastian, a gay Dalton Academy Warbler who has an eye for Darren Criss’ Blaine.

As first reported by TV Line, Sebastian is like the male version of Santana (Naya Rivera) in that he’s promiscuous and slightly scheming.

Gustin is a performing arts veteran, landing a role in a community theater production at age 10 in his native Virginia. He studied at the Governor’s School for the Arts in Virginia, where he had part in productions including Sweeney Todd, Kiss Me, Kate and 110 in the Shade.

STORY: 'Glee' Season 3: The Battle for the School Musical Begins

Gustin will first appear in Episode 5, where he’ll likely become a thorn in the side for Chris Colfer’s Kurt.

Considering the McKinley High gang – including Kurt and Blaine -- will be competing for parts in the school performance of West Side Story this season, it’d be fitting to see Sebastian enter the picture that way, no?

Glee airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
