The Good Fight is adding several new full-time castmembers ahead of season two.

The CBS All Access drama has promoted season one recurring favorites Michael Boatman and Nyambi Nyambi to series regulars, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

Additionally, CBS Interactive president and COO Marc DeBevoise announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that the spinoff has enlisted Audra McDonald as a series regular for season two.

Boatman has portrayed Julius Cain since season one of The Good Wife. He appeared in 18 episodes before he was written into The Good Fight as having joined the firm of Reddick Boseman & Kolstad shortly ahead of his former boss, Diane (Christine Baranski).

In season one of the spinoff, Cane made waves at his firm when his conservative politics came to light — something co-creators and showrunner Robert and Michelle King hope to explore further in season two. "We love the idea of an African-American conservative who finds it harder and harder given the partisan nature of the law firm and where it's headed," Michelle told THR earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Nyambi appeared in seven installments of The Good Fight's 10-episode first season as Jay Dipersia, the in-house investigator at Reddick Boseman & Kolstad and mentor to hopeful investigator Marissa (Sarah Steele).

Finally, McDonald will join the ensemble in the same role she originated in season four of The Good Wife, U.S. attorney Liz Lawrence. Originally introduced as a former law school nemesis of Alicia Florrick's, in The Good Fight, viewers will come to learn that Liz also happens to be the ex-wife of Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo). During the second season, "the two will have to deal with many of their unresolved issues," according to an official character description.

In addition to adding the two actors to its main ensemble, the legal drama will expand to 13 episodes for its second season.

The Good Fight ensemble also includes Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Erica Tazel and Justin Bartha. The Kings executive produce the series with Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Liz Glotzer and Brooke Kennedy. CBS Television Studios produces the drama with King Size Productions and Scott Free Productions.

Boatman's other credits include China Beach, Spin City and Anger Management. He is repped by Innovative Artists and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management.

Nyambi, whose other credits include Mike & Molly and Mercy Street, is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and ATA Management.

In addition to her many Broadway roles, McDonald's other credits include Private Practice and The Sound of Music Live!

The Good Fight will return for season two in 2018.
