'The Good Wife': Lisa Edelstein Books Multi-Episode Arc

Lisa Edelstein may be off House, but she's booked a gig on The Good Wife, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Edelstein will appear in several episodes of the CBS drama that stars Julianna Margulies, the first of which will be near the beginning of the upcoming third season.

She is believed to be playing someone who has history with Alicia's boss/love interest Will (Josh Charles), though that has not been made official. It is also unclear whether her character's relationship with Will is of the personal or professional kind.

In mid-May, Edelstein opted not to return to Fox's House when it launches its eighth season this fall.

She was among several regulars, including Omar Epps and Robert Sean Leonard, who were asked by producers to reduce their salaries in an effort to diminish costs on the Universal Media Studios-produced medical series for Season 8.
