N.Y. Mayor Bloomberg to Appear on 'The Good Wife' Finale
He will appear as himself in the April 28 season four closer.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is heading to The Good Wife.
The one-hour legal drama, which was renewed for a fifth season, will welcome Bloomberg -- who appears as himself -- in the April 28 finale, CBS announced Tuesday.
[Warning: Spoilers ahead.]
The finale takes place on the evening of Peter's (Chris Noth) gubernatorial election, as Alicia (Julianna Margulies), Will (Josh Charles) and Diane (Christine Baranski) race to a series of emergency court proceedings when Zach (Graham Phillips) believes he's witnessed vote tampering. Meanwhile, an unlikely source gives Cary (Matt Czuchry) aid to start his own firm while Alicia's conflicted feelings in her personal and professional lives come to a head.
Bloomberg won't be the only notable face dropping by The Good Wife, which films in New York but is set in Chicago. Martha Plimpton, T.R. Knight, Denis O'Hare, Dylan Baker, Ana Gasteyer and Estelle Parsons also will appear.
Real-life figures have made cameos on the drama since it debuted in 2009, including Donna Brazile, Bill Maher, Joe Trippi, CBS News correspondent Erica Hill, Lou Dobbs and civil rights activist Vernon Jordan.
The Good Wife airs at 9 p.m. Sundays on CBS.
