'Gossip Girl' Adds 'Stargate: Universe's' Brian J. Smith

Brian Smith, best known from Stargate: Universe, is turning up the heat on the CW’s Gossip Girl.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actor will play an aspiring chef named Max, as first reported by TVLine.

Smith, whose credits also include Law & Order, will first appear in Gossip Girl’s Season 5 premiere on Sept. 26.

Smith is a Julliard graduate with several off-Broadway productions on his resume. He is repped by Innovative.
