'Gotham': New Trailer Teases Apocalypse, Now

Expect gunslinging, death and the unexpected in the season's final two episodes.

A new trailer for the final two episodes of the freshman run of Fox's Gotham has been released, teasing an apocalyptic end to the season that will see all the characters getting their hands dirty — as well as a very surprising twist for young Bruce Wayne.

After reminding everyone that Oswald (Robin Lord Taylor) has been predicting a war in the city since the pilot, the trailer gives the briefest of glimpses — suggesting that he was right all along. The promo reveals Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) threatening Oswald and telling him that he doesn't know what Gordon is capable of, before showing both Gordon and Oswald in the middle of some kind of shoot-out. It serves as a reminder of just what Edward Nygma got up to this week — spoiler: It may have involved stabbing someone — as well as the debut of Fish Mooney's (Jada Pinkett Smith) new punk look and … something very unexpected in Wayne Manor.

Accompanying the trailer, Fox issued a statement that asked, simply: "Who won't make it out alive?" This echoes comments McKenzie gave THR, when he promised that not everyone would make it to the end of the season — and that even those who do might not make it there in one piece. Viewers already know Smith isn't returning for the already-announced second season, but does that mean that Fish is going to go out in a blaze of glory?

Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox. Check out the promo below, and hit the comments with your thoughts.
