Yes, it's all likely part of Owen's presumed-dead but found alive sister's storyline.

Paging Dr. Teddy Altman.

Kim Raver has booked a return arc to ABC's Grey's Anatomy in the Shondaland medical drama's upcoming 14th season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Raver (24) will reprise her role as Teddy, who was ultimately fired by Owen (Kevin McKidd) in a loving move on the chief of surgery's behalf to get his former Army colleague to take the next step in her personal and professional life and accept a position at a military hospital. Raver last appeared in the season-eight finale.

Her return to Grey's comes as part of the storyline revolving around Owen's presumed-dead but, naturally, found alive sister. While she was not seen onscreen, Teddy was name-checked during May's season=13 finale in which Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) spoke with her by phone about Owen's sister.

The casting comes as season 14 is poised to further explore Owen's and Amelia's dynamic as the married couple spent the bulk of last season separated. Raver's return could create another of Shondaland's famed love triangles as Teddy previously had feelings for Owen.

Raver's recent credits include Fox's APB, Bones and 24: Live Another Day. She's repped by Gersh.

Raver becomes the latest Shondaland grad to return to Grey's. Isaiah Washington previously returned to the ABC medical drama as part of Sandra Oh's exit storyline.
