The CW's Hart of Dixie has landed its first musical guest for season three.

Indie folk-pop band The Head and the Heart -- which broke through with its 2011 self-titled debut album -- will drop by Bluebell in the new season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

The group will appear in the third episode, "Take This Job and Shove It," where it will perform two songs off its upcoming follow-up album, "Shake" and "My Friends," at the Rammer Jammer. (Check out The Head and the Heart's "Shake" below.)

The Head and the Heart's "Lost in My Mind" and "Winter Song" were previously featured on the series.

Formed in 2010, the six-person group — consisting of Josiah Johnson, Jonathan Russell, Charity Rose Thielen, Chris Zasche, Kenny Hensley and Tyler Williams — is the latest musical act to make a cameo on the Southern drama that stars Rachel Bilson, Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel. Musicians who have appeared on Hart of Dixie include American Idol alum Scotty McCreery and country trio Gloriana.

The Seattle-based band hits the road on a fall/winter tour that kicks off in London on Oct. 7 and runs through the end of the year, hitting Los Angeles' Wiltern Theatre on Dec. 7. Its sophomore album, Let's Be Still, will be released Oct. 15 via Sub Pop.

Hart of Dixie premieres Oct. 7 on The CW.
