'Hell's Kitchen' Season 9 Winner Revealed

A new winner was crowned on the ninth-season finale of Hell's Kitchen on Monday night.
Gordon Ramsay announced that Paul Niedermann was the new champion during the two-hour episode of Fox's cooking competition.

Niedermann, 26, a junior sous chef from Davie, Fla., won the "head chef" position at New York's BLT Steak. He beat out Will Lustberg, a sous chef from Jersey City, N.J., for the title.
In the final challenge, both contestants created their own menus and led teams of their past competitors through a dinner service.

Niedermann's menu included truffle risotto with warm asparagus salad; roasted N.Y. steak with saffron and celery root purée, brussels sprouts and chianti jus; grilled swordfish with yellow pepper romanesco, rapini and blue crab-stuffed tomato; banana polenta cake with mascarpone, Chantilly cream, pistachios and brûléed bananas; and strawberry basil Napoleon with orange crème fraiche panna cotta and micro basil.
"There are no words to describe how I am feeling right now,” Niedermann said upon being named the winner.
