'Homeland' Adds F. Murray Abraham in Recurring Role
The Emmy-nominated series, returning to Showtime Sept. 30, will see the Oscar winner appear later in its sophomore run.
Homeland is adding another member to its CIA team.
F. Murray Abraham (Scarface) will join the Showtime series in its second season, as first reported by EW. A 20th Century Fox Television rep confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that he'll play the part of Dar Adul, a "brilliant" CIA operative whose been with the organization for years.

This will likely have him working with Mandy Patinkin's Saul, as Carrie (Claire Danes) saw herself removed from her government gig at the end of the first season.
Abraham, whose recent TV credits include appearances on The Good Wife, Bored to Death and Louie, won an Oscar in 1985 for his role in Amadeus. He will debut in his new recurring role later on in the upcoming season.
Rupert Friend was previously added as a series regular.
Homeland, nominated for nine Emmy awards, returns to Showtime on Sunday, Sept. 30.
