Unmasked Honey Badger Voice Explains the Relatability of Viral Animal (Video)
With a book in stores and an animated series in the works, the man responsible for the Honey Badger video is finally getting some face time.
Randall -- yes, just "Randall" -- is no longer hiding behind the 34 million hits of his viral clip. The unorthodox nature documentation was recently caught on camera by TMZ, and he took the time to explain the repeatability of the aggressive weasel.
"Because of today's society, it's an animal I think a lot of people can relate to," he said. "A lot of people are fed up. I think a lot of people want to be able to take what they want. And I believe firmly... everyone, inside of them, has an inner honey badger waiting to get out."
As for his motivation to give the animal a voice, Randall called the existing narration boring, mundane and stupid.
The surprising endurance of the Honey Badger -- now including a line of products like mugs and baby onesies, two iPhone apps and the recently released book Honey Badger Don't Care: Randall's Guide to Crazy, Nasta** Animals -- may soon extend to television.
STORY: Honey Badger Viral Sensation Heading to TV (Exclusive)
First reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Randall will soon pitch Honey Badger U. The proposed series would follow an animated Randall at a dysfunctional university where he'd provide familiar color-commentary of nature videos as chief professor of life sciences.
