'Hot in Cleveland' First Look: 'Mary Tyler Moore' Pals Betty White and Ed Asner Get Frisky (Video)
The former co-stars reunite as Elka's history with Asner's country club president is revealed.
TV Land pays tribute to The Mary Tyler Moore Show for a second time Wednesday when Ed Asner checks in as the president of a prestigious country club who has a past with Betty White's Elka.
Asner plays Jameson, a country club president who in The Hollywood Reporter's first-look clip, can't seem to recall exactly how he knows Elka as she and Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli), Joy (Jane Leeves) and Victoria (Wendie Malick) try to join the club.
"Where do I know you from?" Asner ponders.
"It'll come to you," a coy White responds with a smirk, in a clear nod to their seven seasons together as MTM's Lou Grant and Sue Ann Nivens.
Asner becomes the second MTM alum to head to Cleveland; Mary Tyler Moore guest starred in the second-season premiere in January.
Check out the clip above and hit the comments with how many nods to MTM you can find -- we count at least two.
Hot in Cleveland airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on TV Land.
