'How I Met Your Mother' Gang Sells Single-Camera Comedy to Fox

“The Goodwin Games” hails from the co-creators of the CBS comedy Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as well as executive producer Chris Harris.

Following a multinetwork bidding war, Fox has given a pilot production commitment to a single-camera comedy from How I Met Your Mother’s Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris.

The project, The Goodwin Games, hails from 20th Century Fox Television and will be written by How I Met Your Mother co-creators/executive producers Bays & Thomas, as well as executive producer Harris.

Goodwin Games revolves around three siblings who reconnect after the death of their father.

In March, CBS picked up How I Met Your Mother, which also hails from 20th Television where Bays, Thomas and Harris are based, for two additional seasons.
