'Hung' Star Joins NBC's Craig Robinson Comedy (Exclusive)
Jane Adams will play a school principal in the untitled pilot starring "The Office" alum.
Hung's Jane Adams is going back to school.
The actress has nabbed a co-starring role in NBC's untitled Owen Ellickson and Craig Robinson comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

From The Office's Ellickson, the pilot centers on Craig (Robinson), a talented musician who adjusts to his new life as a middle school music teacher, where he maneuvers precocious kids, teacher politics and the temptations of single moms.
Adams will play Jeanette, a stressed-out junior high principal who's almost always in damage-control mode. Once an idealistic teacher, she now is overwhelmed by the problems of her students, parents and teachers and now spends most of her time trying to put out fires and save her job. She's a thoughtful principal but cynical and jaded after hours and married to a guy whose hotness she still talks about -- a lot.
Ellickson will pen the pilot and exec produce alongside The Office's Greg Daniels, Tracy Katsky, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman. Robinson will produce the Universal Television, Deedle-Dee Productions and 3 Arts single-camera entry. Larenz Tate, Amanda Lund and Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) co-star.

For Adams, the role marks her return to the small screen following her three-season turn as Tanya, Ray's (Thomas Jane) beleaguered pimp on HBO's Hung. Repped by Gersh and Framework Entertainment, her credits also include features Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Happiness and Little Children.
