James Woods Joins Showtime's 'Ray Donovan'
The "Shark" alum will return to television with a recurring role in the Liev Schreiber drama.
James Woods is returning to the small screen.
The Shark alum has booked a recurring role on Showtime's upcoming drama Ray Donovan, the cable network said Tuesday.

The freshman drama revolves around the title character (Liev Schreiber), a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in Los Angeles, as he balances his work demands and complex family brought on when his father (Jon Voight) is unexpectedly released from prison.
Woods will play Patrick "Sully" Sullivan, a guy with a complicated history with the Donovan family. He joins a cast that also includes Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Katherine Moennig and Pooch Hall.
For Woods, the casting comes after he starred as Sebastian Stark on CBS' Shark, which ended its two-season run in 2008. The two-time Oscar nominee, Golden Globe and Emmy winner's credits also include Salvador, Ghosts of Mississippi and Promise, My Name Is Bill W. He next appears in jOBS and Roland Emmerich's White House Down. He returns to Showtime after starring in the 2000 telepic Dirty Pictures, for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination.
Woods is repped by Gersh and Morris Yorn.
Showtime will move Dexter up to a spring premiere June 30 and use the Michael C. Hall-Jennifer Carpenter starrer to launch Ray Donovan, which premieres the same night at 10 p.m.
