Janeane Garofalo is about to call Bravo home.

The Reality Bites and West Wing alum has booked a co-starring role on the cable network's Marti Noxon pilot, The Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

STORY: 'House's' Lisa Edelstein to Star in Bravo's Marti Noxon Pilot (Exclusive)

From Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Noxon, the hourlong dramedy is based on the book series by executive producer Vicki Iovine. It follows the best-selling author of a self-help book series, Vicki (House's Lisa Edelstein), who is secretly hiding her separation from her husband (Private Practice's Paul Adelstein) and starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her 40s in Los Angeles. She begins to side with and take advice more often from her divorced friends rather than her married ones, and it leads her to some unexpected life-changing experiences.

Garofalo will play Lyla, Vicki's friend and a legendary entertainment lawyer who is a real shark but also fiercely maternal and involved with the people she loves.

STORY: Marti Noxon's 'Divorce' Dramedy Nabs Pilot Order at Bravo

Noxon (Glee, Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy) will pen the pilot, with Dawn Olmstead, Iovine and The Weinstein Co. TV president Meryl Poster on board to executive produce the Universal Cable Productions vehicle, which was originally developed for Showtime as a half-hour vehicle.

For Garofalo, the role comes after roles on Adult Swim's Delocated, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, 24, The West Wing, Felicity and The Larry Sanders Show. On the feature side, the Reality Bites actress' credits include Wet Hot American Summer, Mystery Men and Ratatouille. Repped by ICM Partners and Generate, Garofalo is a two-time Emmy nominee for her supporting work on The Larry Sanders Show.

Meanwhile, Bravo corporate sibling NBC is reviving Reality Bites as a half-hour scripted comedy with producer/co-star Ben Stiller.
