Jeff Goldblum Joins NBC's Sarah Silverman Comedy Pilot
He'll guest star in the "Susan 313" pilot loosely based on the comic's life as her ex-boyfriend.
Jeff Goldblum is going from playing father to Glee's Rachel Berry to Sarah Silverman's ex-boyfriend.
The actor, who's currently guest starring on the Fox musical dramedy, has been tapped to guest star in NBC's Silverman comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The vehicle -- now titled Susan 313 -- stars Silverman as a woman readjusting to single life following a decadelong live-in relationship, is loosely based on Silverman's life. Goldblum will reunite with Silverman following their turn on FX's The League and guest star in the pilot as her ex-boyfriend with whom she lived for 10 years. Should the pilot be picked up to series, Goldblum could return for additional episodes.
Silverman will co-write the project with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who also penned the actress' her Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Program. Exec producers on the comedy, from 20th Television, include Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Ken Kwapis, who will direct the pilot.
Goldblum joins the previously cast Tig Notaro, Ken Leung, Harris Wittels and June Raphael in the comedy pilot.
In addition to his work as Hiram Berry on Glee, Goldblum's recent TV credits include guest gigs on IFC's Portlandia and a voice gig on Fox's animated Allen Gregory. On the feature side, he next has Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie due this year.
Goldblum is repped by CAA and Industry Entertainment.
