History has found its narrator for its upcoming World Wars docuseries.

Two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner will lend his voice to the three-night, six-hour event series set to explore three decades of devastating wars and the men who held the fate of humankind in their hands. The series will be told through men like Roosevelt, Hitler, Patton, Mussolini, Churchill, Tojo, DeGaulle and MacArthur.

STORY: History Orders Six-Hour 'World Wars' Docuseries

The event series, which will feature interviews with Gen. Colin Powell, British Prime Minister John Major, Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti and U.S. Sen. John McCain, among others, will be broadcast on both History and H2 in the U.S. and internationally. The series will premiere on Memorial Day, May 26, at 9 p.m.

The series examines the two wars as one contiguous timeline starting in 1914 and continuing to 1945. The stories will be told through the original style that History and producers Stephen David Entertainment used for its Emmy-winning The Men Who Built America and utilize state-of-the-art CGI, dramatic scenes and contributors like Powell, Leon Panetta and more.

Russell McCarroll, Paul Cabana and Christian Murphy will executive produce for History, while David serves as EP for Stephen David Productions.

"The stories that came out of The World Wars are heroic, horrific and everything in between,” said Renner (The Hurt Locker). "I'm happy to lend my voice to History and help tell these stories in a very different way."
