'Jersey Shore's Vinny, Pauly and Ronnie Talk Situation Drama (Video)
As the season 5 premiere approaches, the boys -- referring to themselves as “the tripod” -- tell THR that they have no issues with their controversial roommate.
Season 5 of Jersey Shore makes its debut on Thursday, Jan. 5, picking up right where the crew left off in Italy.
As MTV’s resident guidos and guidettes land on American soil and settle into their storied Seaside Heights house, tensions flare surrounding unfinished business from their Italian escapades. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino struggles to redeem himself among the roommates, none of whom want to share a bedroom with him.

The boys of the Shore stopped by The Hollywood Reporter’s Cover Lounge on Jan. 4 to dish about the new season – sans Sorrentino. Referring to themselves as “the Tripod,” Vinny Guadagnino, Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro told THR that they have no qualms with their controversial roommate.
“I thought he was supposed to be here with us,” Ronnie said. “I thought it was gonna be all four of us.”

“Some people are just in their own little world, and he knows it,” added Vinny. “He’s a little bit of a space cadet to me, but I have nothing against him. I think he’s actually funny. And he is a good kid at heart but he’s just, some people just are a little crazy.”
“Like it or not, what [we] shared together, noone else can share,” said Pauly. “We’ve done this, how many times now, five times together. So, we’ll never forget that.”
Tune into the new season of Jersey Shore when it returns to MTV during its regularly scheduled “Jerzday” (Jan. 5) at 10 p.m. In honor of the broadcast, MTV will air a day-long marathon of season 4 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
