J.J. Abrams, CW Team for Undercover Cop Drama
J.J. Abrams is reuniting with Ken Olin for a new project for The CW.
Abrams and Olin, who previously worked together on ABC spy drama Alias, is partnering on the Warner Bros. TV/Bad Robot-produced Electropolis.
The one-hour drama from executive producers Abrams and Bryan Burk, is described as an undercover cop show about after-hours Los Angeles and the young people who live their lives after most are asleep, making their moves to the pulsing beats of electronic music.
Along with Abrams and Burk, Olin will serve as an executive producer and would also direct. Co-executive producers include Cliff Olin (Brothers & Sisters), Justin Feil and Kathy Lingg, with Athena Wickham (Person of Interest, Revolution) producing.
Electropolis is the latest project Abrams and his shingle based at Warner Bros. TV -- where he extended his deal through 2015 -- has sold thus far, with the most recent being comedy project Adulting to Fox.
