John Stamos is returning to Fox.

The Grandfathered star is reteaming with Ryan Murphy and has boarded Fox horror-comedy Scream Queens as a series regular for season two.

Season two of the series, from Murphy and Brad Falchuk, is set in a hospital where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation. Stamos, who previously played a doctor on NBC's ER, will play Dr. Brock Holt, the hospital’s brilliant but secretive head surgeon.

Stamos joins returning Scream Queens stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash, who are all set to reprise their season-one roles. Additional casting to be announced.

The casting brings Stamos back to Fox a month after the network canceled comedy Grandfathered after one season. The actor, meanwhile, will continue to pop in and out of Netflix's Fuller House, which has already been renewed for season two.
