Jon Cryer Inks Pod Deal With Warner Bros. Television (Exclusive)
Jon Cryer is returning to Warner Bros. Television.
The Two and a Half Men star and his wife/producing partner, Lisa Joyner, have launched a production company and signed a pod deal with the studio, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Under the two-year deal, Cryer and Joyner's Discount Sushi Productions banner will develop new scripted and unscripted projects for the studio that produced Two and a Half Men.
"After a grueling two whole months away from Warner Bros. Television since Two and a Half Men ended, it's time for me to finally come home," joked Cryer. "I'm looking forward to making great television — and my next hug from Peter Roth."
The deal comes after Cryer spent 12 years working for the studio with his starring role on CBS' Two and a Half Men.
In the two months since the show's completion, Cryer has released So That Happened, his New York Times best-selling memoir that details his perception of former co-star Charlie Sheen's infamous meltdown.
Cryer joins his former Two and a Half Men boss, Chuck Lorre, who also has a producing deal at the studio.
Cryer is repped by UTA, Forward Entertainment and Myman Greenspan.
