Jon Stewart Mocks Bobby Jindal's Presidential Candidacy Announcement to His Family

"I am not a political scientist, I am obviously not a campaign manager, [but] I believe it may be a sign your campaign may be in trouble when you cannot carry a majority of your immediate family."

Jon Stewart has seen his share of presidential candidacy announcements, so when Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal entered the 2016 race with the underwhelming support of his kids in a home video, it was an opportunity for a Daily Show jab.

"I am not a political scientist, I am obviously not a campaign manager, [but] I believe it may be a sign your campaign may be in trouble when you cannot carry a majority of your immediate family," he joked of the reaction video, a popular genre on YouTube.

"It turns out Jindal's kids found his presidential announcement less interesting than literally everything in the backyard," Stewart added, as one child pointed out a turtle by their outdoor seating area, and another was less than enthusiastic about Jindal's idea of visiting Iowa.

And though every Republican candidate has made their Hillary Clinton jabs, Jindal didn't do really that well, when he said he'll say something "even [she] can understand."

"Nobody thinks she's dumb," Stewart said. "Hopefully you'll have a riveting reality show pilot to fall back on."
