Julia Roberts is pretty mad that David Letterman is leaving Late Show.

"I've come here tonight just to find out what the hell is going on here," she said in a fit. "Someone says we're closing shop around here. I turn my back for a minute. ... It's bullshit, David Letterman! Explain yourself!"

Still, the two have exchanged quite a few kisses over the years. And on Wednesday night's episode, the two relived all of their past smooches onscreen — and added one more.

"I just want to say, David Letterman, I love you, and I thank you for all of the joy and the laughs and the intelligence you have brought to us for 33 years," Roberts told the departing host, holding back tears.

Roberts also recalled her first-ever appearance on Letterman's Late Show, to promote Mystic Pizza, and how she "did not want to come on because I had seen you absolutely dismember young actresses of my peer group. I thought, 'I'm gonna go on, and he's gonna know, within 10 seconds, what my IQ is. And you're going to, like a samurai, just Benihana me to pieces, and I'll be left for dead and forgotten!' " she explained. "Because I think stupid people annoy you!"

Letterman smiled, "Well, that answers my problem of self-loathing."
