Kat Von D Accuses TLC of Compromising the Honesty of 'LA Ink'
The tattoo artist has some fighting words after the network's announcement that the show is canceled.
It seems that Kat Von D has a bit to say about Thursday’s announcement by TLC that it has decided to cancel her series, LA Ink.
STORY: TLC Cancels Kat Von D Reality Series, 'LA Ink
'“I love how me deciding to not continue doing LA Ink, turns into being ‘cancelled.’ Thanks @TLC,” the tattoo artist tweets. “Regardless of everything I remain grateful.”
She then asks her fans to “please standby for a more in depth, more honest statement regarding LA Ink.” Seriously, we couldn't wait to see that statement, especially after she tweeted to a follower, “[The cancelation] also means I can speak more freely now too.”
The statement arrived via People. She says, "In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn't happen while filming."
"I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage,” she continues. “In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers... As grateful as I am to have been a part of a show like LA Ink, I'm ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other projects now."
