E! Network's Kim Kardashian Wedding Encore Adds Special Divorce Announcement
"We are a topical network," says E! president Suzanne Kolb, "and this is a topic at the moment."
Just two days after Kim Kardashian announced the end of her brief, televised marriage to Kris Humphries, E! Entertainment seems to have made it clear that it won't affect the network's working relationship with the reality star or her family.
"I don't even know if Kim has had a chance to emotionally process this the way that she needs to," E! president Suzanne Kolb told the AP. "I don't have any indication that this is going to change her career path."

As THR reported, news of the divorce caught E! off guard, prompting the network to shuffle this week's planned reruns of Kardashian and Humphries' early October wedding special.
Encores of the two-parter were originally scheduled to air Tuesday and Wednesday. The network initially pushed them to Monday and Tuesday, before finally choosing to bump the second part to Thursday.
Now, the concluding night of Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event will be prefaced with an onscreen announcement acknowledging the divorce.

"We are a topical network," Kolb said of the decision to re-air the special, "and this is a topic at the moment."
Still, the network doesn't want any mixed messages about its role in the marriage or its knowledge of the divorce. After a statement called accusations of possible staging of the wedding "completely false," Kolb came out in equal defense of the network and the Kardashians.
"At some point I felt we had to come out and say that was absurd," she said.
