What You Won’t See On ‘Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event’
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have been keeping busy since their nuptials six weeks ago.
Stress was rising as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries planned their August 20 wedding in three weeks. Luckily for us, E!—in true Kardashian style—caught everything on tape.
Starting Sunday night, six weeks after the nuptials, E! is airing a two-part special of Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, from the planning stages to the partying afterward.

So what have the newlyweds been up to while waiting for their wedding special to air? They’ve shown fans sneak peeks of their wedding on E!, sold their wedding photos to People magazine (which cost the tabloid a pretty penny: $1.5 million), and have gone on a TV talk show tour.
The People magazine issue sold about 1.5 million copies, a 31 percent increase over the current sales average of 1.15 million.

The Kardashian effect also benefitted (albeit unintentionally, we presume) Kardashian’s infamous sex tape with Ray-J. Vivid Entertainment founder Steven Hirsch told The Hollywood Reporter her wedding caused their site to see a massive spike in traffic—roughly two million hits during her wedding weekend, a considerable jump compared to its average of 300,000 unique visitors a month.

Even Kim’s own twitter benefitted: her account finally reached 10 million followers at the end of September. She joined a very elite club: Barack Obama, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

This past week, the couple made their first joint appearance on late-night TV, on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Kris and Jay bonded over their love of old cars then shared the story of how he first met Kardashian.

The next day, the couple headed over to Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show, where the 53-year-old comedian was less-than-happy that she wasn’t invited to their Fairytale Wedding. So, taking matters into her own hands, Ellen decided to officiate the couple’s unofficial wedding vow renewals--on her own show.
