Kim Kardashian Kicks Off Female-Focused Week of 'Live With Kelly' Co-Hosts
Limiting guest spots and the search for Regis Philbin's replacement to men since his November departure, Kelly Ripa welcomes the reality star on Jan. 23.
Kelly Ripa will entertain an exclusively female group of guest co-hosts during the Jan. 23-27 broadcasts of Live With Kelly -- and though series hasn't announced the full lineup, its starting with Kim Kardashian.
The reality star, currently seen on Kourtney and Kim Take New York, will take her first seat in the co-host's chair on Jan. 23. She's appeared as a guest twice before.
Live! has been home to a revolving door of guest hosts since Regis Philbin departed in November. Ripa's famous friends, such as Jerry Seinfeld and Neil Patrick Harris, initially sat in, eventually leaving room for serious candidates for the full-time job.
Jerry O'Connell, Derek Hough and Josh Groban have all sat in. The addition of female guest co-hosts could mean the series, produced by WABC-TV and distributed Disney-ABC Domestic Television, might be considering a roster free of a Y chromosome.
The official naming of Kelly's co-host isn't expected to come before the end of the current season.
