'No More Kardashian' Petition Aims to Remove Family's Series From E!
The grassroots effort represents just some of the backlash Kim Kardashian's quickie divorce has created.

Apparently, Kim Kardashian has “blacktresses” mad with her over her part in Tyler Perry’s new movie, The Marriage Counselor. And plenty of detractors are accusing her of a disrespect for the sanctity of marriage or an alleged wedding hoax after she filed for divorce from her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, on Oct. 31.
Now, her critics are getting organized by creating an online petition to remove the entire Kardashian brood off of the E! Entertainment network.

"In a grassroots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming," Cyndy Snider, the creator of the petition, tells Yahoo.
"We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption," she continues.

As of the posting of this article, Snider’s effort has been rewarded with more than 11,000 people signing the online petition at gopetition.com. It seems largely a symbolic gesture unless the movement can amass something more in the millions and actually encourage viewers not to tune in or advertisers to pull their promo spots from airing during the series.
Though, it might be enough for Snider and those who have joined her in this movement to just get their grievances about the family out to the public.

"While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of 'reality satire,' it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them," Snider states. "I'll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a 'leaked' sex tape."
"There is no particular religious or political platform behind our disgust; we are just finally fed up," Snider adds.

THR contacted E! for a comment on the online petition and its effectiveness when it comes to the network’s decision making on the various Kardashian series, but it didn’t immediately respond to our request.
In the meantime, the network has been promoting the upcoming fourth season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which features Humphries and debuts Nov. 27.
