Kristin Chenoweth Talks 'Good Wife' Injuries, Calls Josh Charles 'My Angel'
Making her first TV appearance since her July accident, the actress tells "Live!": "I have a skull fracture and a rib issue and a hip issue. I'm issue-ridden."
When Kristin Chenoweth awoke at the hospital after being injured on The Good Wife, her co-star Josh Charles was there beside her.
"He was holding my hand. He's my angel," the actress said Friday on Live! With Kelly and Michael in her first TV appearance since July's accident, when she was struck by a piece of lighting equipment following a gust of wind on the CBS drama's Brooklyn set.
Chenoweth, a Broadway veteran and Emmy winner, most recently starred on ABC's short-lived GCB. She joined the Good Wife for its September season premiere, as a political reporter attempting to dig up dirt on the secretly separated Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Peter (Chris Noth) Florrick. Charles plays defense attorney Will Gardner, whose friendship with Alicia took a turn for the romantic last season.

As for Chenoweth, who was to appear in later episodes, she announced an early exit from her role to focus on recovering from injuries sustained on the set. (She was hospitalized through the night and released the next day.)
"I'm doing so much better than I was," she told Kelly Ripa and new Regis replacement Michael Strahan, via People.com. "Basically, a big lighting thing fell on me ... and knocked me out cold."
She added: "I couldn't really form a sentence after it happened. ... I have a skull fracture and a rib issue and a hip issue. I'm issue-ridden."
On Monday, Chenoweth will join Anderson Cooper as a guest co-host on his reformatted Anderson Live.
The Good Wife returns for its fourth season at 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.
