Room breakout Jacob Tremblay is headed for the small screen.

The young actor, fresh off his Critics Choice win, has been tapped to play a young version of Will Forte's character Phil on The Last Man on Earth, Fox announced Wednesday.

Tremblay will appear in one episode of the sophomore comedy this spring. Tremblay, who plays a young boy kidnapped and held captive with his mother (Brie Larson) in Room, has won the Critics Choice award for best young actor as well as the breakthrough performance award from the National Board of Review.

His other upcoming roles include films The Book of Henry and Burn Your Maps. Tremblay is repped by UTA, Play Management and Jackoway Tyerman.

This is the latest casting get for Last Man on Earth. Will Ferrell appeared in a surprise cameo earlier this season. The series airs Sundays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
