Lifehouse, 'American Idol's' Phillip Phillips Set for Fox's New Year's Eve

Carmen Electra will also perform on Dec. 31 from Las Vegas.

Fox has announced the first performers for New Year's Eve Live!, which kicks off 11 p.m. Dec. 31.

Lifehouse, American Idol's season 11 winner Phillip Phillips and Carmen Electra will perform from Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

Additional performers and host will be announced shortly.

Lifehouse's hit, "Hanging By a Moment," was 2001's most-played top 40 song and the band's 2005 song, "You and Me" spent more than 60 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The band's new single, "Between the Raindrops," is featured on its new album, Almeria, out Dec. 11.

Phillips' debut album, The World From the Side of the Moon, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard top 200 and his single, "Home," has sold more than 2.5 million.

Electra recently released her single, "I Like It Loud."

New Year's Eve Live! is executive produced by Bob Bain, produced by Paul Flattery and directed by Michael Dempsey.
