Lifetime is betting big on Stephen Kronish and Kathryn Morris.

The female-focused cable network is developing a Las Vegas-set drama from 24 writer-producer Kronish and former Cold Case actress-turned-producer Morris titled Princess of Whales.

The drama is based on the true story of one of Las Vegas’ most successful casino hostesses, Marcia Hartman, who is tasked with bringing high-end gamblers to casinos and having them spend as much as possible while balancing her lavish lifestyle and partying ways.

Morris will executive produce the project, with Revival House exec Josh Gold and Kronish, as well as Prospect Park’s Paul Frank, Jeff Kwatinez and Rich Frank. Fox TV Studios will produce.

Cold Case alum Morris, who appears this month in the feature Moneyball, has no plans to act in the project.

Kronish’s credits include Emmy-nominated miniseries The Kennedys and The Commish.
