Lifetime Greenlights Fourth and Final 'Flowers in the Attic' Film
The Dollangangers are staying put at Lifetime.
The A+E Networks-owned network has officially greenlighted the fourth and final Flowers in the Attic film based on the V.C. Andrews novels, Seeds of Yesterday. The TV movie is expected to air next year following If There Be Thorns, the third installment slated for a 2015 premiere.
Jason Lewis and Rachael Carpani will reprise their roles as Christopher and Cathy Dollangager, respectively, from If There Be Thorns. James Maslow (Big Time Rush) has joined the cast as Bart Dollanganger.
The Dollangager saga will end with Seeds of Yesterday, which will follow the family as their deeply troubled relationships, dark secrets and tragedy come to a head in a way that will haunt the family and its progeny forever.
Seeds of Yesterday is produced by A+E Studios. Dan Angel, Jane Startz and Jocelyn Freid will executive produce, with Harvey Kahn and Rick Arredondo producing. Shawn Ku will direct from a screenplay written by Darren Stein. Seeds of Yesterday was near an official greenlight at Lifetime in early September.
Petals on the Wind debuted over Memorial Day, averaging 3.4 million viewers, down significantly from the 6.1 million who tuned in to Flowers in the Attic in January.
