Lifetime is reteaming with Craig Piligian.
The female-skewing network is developing Whisper of Fear, a two-hour back-door pilot based on the book by Rhonda Saunders, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Whisper of Fear: The True Story of the Prosecutor Who Stalks the Stalkers, published in2008, revolves around a criminal prosecutor who penned the law on stalking in California and is based on the true story of a hot-head cop and polished district attorney who team to bring a stalker obsessed with her former lover to justice.

Reality guru Piligian (The Ultimate Fighter, American Chopper, Top Shot, Dirty Jobs) will executive produce through his Pilgrim Studios, with Last Resort scribe David Wiener on board to pen the project.
The effort continues Piligian's relationship with Lifetime, where he's also producing Abducted: The Carlina White Story, starring The Help's Aunjanue Ellis. Piligian and his Pilgrim shingle also produced Lifetime's original movie, Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy with Hayden Panettiere.
Whisper of Fear also continues Piligian's relationship with Lifetime and History Channel president and GM Nancy Dubuc, for whom he produced entries including Top Shot.
For Lifetime, the project comes after the cabler found success with Jennifer Love Hewitt starrer The Client List, which started in July 2010 as a TV movie and collected 3.9 million total viewers. The net picked it up to series last year and recently renewed the drama for a second season.
Piligian is repped by WME.
