'The Following': Lily Attempts to Lure Emma Back (Exclusive Video)
THR premieres a scene from Monday's episode following Connie Nielsen's character reveal.
[Warning: Spoilers ahead from last Monday's episode, "Trust Me."]
Ryan Hardy's (Kevin Bacon) journey on The Following is hitting a massive speed bump.
At the start of the season, Lily Gray (Connie Nielsen) began as just another victim who happened to cross paths with the ill-fated Ryan. But as viewers discovered at the end of the most recent episode, Lily isn't who she seems. Turns out, she's mother to twins Luke and Mark (Sam Underwood) -- and a follower.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a scene from this Monday's episode, "Family Affair," where Lily attempts to persuade Emma (Valorie Curry) to come back into Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) orbit.
As Emma looks out over a massive mansion, Lily pitches her on the safety she would feel in the compound. "It's beautiful isn't it? Peaceful, scenic," Lily says. "See that contrast between shadow and light, it's a wonderful place to paint -- it really is." When Lily tries to connect via their shared appreciation for art and painting, Emma doesn't fall into the trap.
"I want us to be friends," Lily tells Emma. Will Emma succumb to her request?

The Following airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
