'Lost's' Naveen Andrews to Co-Star in ABC Drama 'Reckless'
He'll play a renegade in the thriller starring Patrick Fugit.
Naveen Andrews is returning to ABC.
The former Lost star has joined the cast of the network's drama pilot, Reckless, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
STORY: TV Pilots 2013: The Complete Guide
When his wife Sara Harrison (Eloise Mumford) is unjustly imprisoned during a political uprising overseas, resourceful problem solver David Ritter (Almost Famous' Patrick Fugit) desperately pursues every legal option to secure her release. But when he's stymied by the U.S. government in the name of diplomacy, David is forced to consider less-than-legal options -- entering a world of political intrigue, dangerous alliances and high emotional stakes.
Andrews will play Roland, a renegade who will do whatever it takes -- for a price -- to rescue David's kidnapped wife. He's a British national and former Secret Air Service member who works as an illegal mercenary in some of the world's deadliest locations and is wanted in about a dozen countries.

He joins a cast that also includes Ernie Hudson, Lou Taylor Pucci and Ashton Holmes. Mad Men's Chris Black will write and executive produce along with Casino Royale's Martin Campbell and Lucienne Papon. Campbell will direct.
For Andrews, the role marks his return to U.S. television following his role in the U.K. series Sinbad and comes three years after he wrapped his run as Sayid on the island-set drama Lost. He's repped by Gersh, Ellen Meyer and Stone Meyer.
He becomes the latest Lost alum to book a pilot so far this season. Josh Holloway will star in CBS' Intelligence; Jorge Garcia is set for CBS' The Ordained ,and Henry Ian Cusick will star in the CW's The Hundred.
