Mark Gordon, Bruckheimer TV Land Projects at ABC, CBS
Gordon brings a family soap to ABC, while Bruckheimer is preparing another procedural.
Two big name producers – Mark Gordon and Jerry Bruckheimer – have new projects at ABC and CBS, respectively.
ABC picked up a script for a family soap that takes place in the world of fashion, titled Americana, from Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds) and Michael Seitzman (North Country), who will write and executive produce.
Gordon inked a multiyear deal with Walt Disney Studios earlier this year for features and TV.
Meanwhile, Bruckheimer Television (Amazing Race, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) has secured a put-pilot commitment from CBS for a character-based procedural from Heroes writer Aron Eli Coleite. The project revolves around a mother who becomes a New York state trooper.
Bruckheimer and Warner Bros. TV will produce, alongside Coleite, Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman. KristieAnne Reed will co-executive produce.
