'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Trailer Previews an Uncertain Future
What will the world look like when Mr. Robot returns for season two?
That's been the burning question on viewers' minds since the season-one finale, in which Elliot (Rami Malek) and fsociety finally pulled off their grand hack and subsequently turned Evil Corp and the rest of the world upside down.
Although the first trailer for season two only gives a vague visual sense of what's to come, the message made by the series' protagonist is crystal clear. With phrases like "take action" and "do something" emblazoned across the screen, Elliot warns of a future that's "never been less certain," but encourages his followers and those of fsociety to seize the moment.
"The truth is, we have more power than they think. The power to take action, to choose to do something," he says. "Together, we can change the world, change our future, and there's nothing they can do to stop us."
The trailer ends with the words "We the bold," which USA Network announced as its new tagline on Thursday.
