MTV Developing 'Bottomfeeders' With Fred Savage, 'Mad TV' Duo (Exclusive)
The cable network continues its push into original programming with the comedy project from the stand-up comic.

MTV is continuing its push into scripted programming with Bottomfeeders, a comedy project from Arden Myrin, Bruce McCoy and Fred Savage.
Stand-up comic Myrin (Chelsea Lately) would star in and pen the project, which is in development, with McCoy, with whom she worked on Mad TV.
Plot details are being kept under wraps but actor-turned producer Savage (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Wonder Years) would executive produce the project and direct should the project receive a pilot order.
MTV recently renewed rookie comedy Awkward for a second season, giving a pilot order to series creator Lauren Iungerich’s Dumb Girls.
Freshman drama Teen Wolf also was picked up for a second season in July, with a number of scripted series coming down the pipeline, including half-hour comedy Death Valley bowing Monday at 10:30 p.m. as well as the January launch of dramedy I Just Want My Pants Back (which sneaks Sunday after the VMAs), with comedy Inbetweeners in production for next year.
Myrin, who will recur on ABC’s Suburgatory, is repped by Innovative Artists.
