MTV Sneaks 'I Just Want My Pants Back' Into 'Jersey Shore' (Exclusive Video)
The youth-skewing network will preview the clip, exclusive to THR, during tonight's "Jersey Shore."
Offering Jersey Shore audiences a preview of what they can expect on Feb. 2, MTV will bow a new promo for its Doug Liman comedy I Just Want My Pants Back on Thursday night.
Pants, based on the book by David J. Rosen, revolves around Jason Strider (Peter Vack), who puts hanging with friends, going to bars and hooking up above his entry level job. It isn't until a one-night stand steals his heart -- and his pants -- that he begins a quest to get his beloved jeans -- and the girl back, while also growing up along the way.
The half-hour comedy, from Mr. and Mrs. Smith director/executive producer Liman, will follow the same mold that proved successful to launch its Ashley Rickards scripted comedy Awkward, which bowed at 11 p.m. behind reality ratings heavyweight Teen Mom in July and opened to 1.7 million viewers.
In the clip, exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason navigates a sticky situation with a "piece" of pizza that ultimately proves to be a knockout punch as he pursues his quest for "corn."
Pants premieres with back-to-back episodes Thursday, Feb. 2 at 11 p.m. following Jersey Shore on MTV.The series co-stars Kim Shaw, Jordan Carlos, Sunkrish Bala and Elisabeth Hower, with Chris Parnell guest starring.
