NBC Buys One-Hour Drama Script From 'Moonlight's' Trevor Munson, Sam Raimi
If it goes to pilot, the Sony Pictures Television project will shoot this spring.
NBC has purchased a drama script from Moonlight writer and executive producer, Trevor Munson, currently titled Vanish, with Sony Pictures Television.
The project is described as “an original drama series, which revolves around a man with a mysterious past who protects deserving people from danger, and helps them disappear.
Sony Pictures TV is co-producing the project with Sam Raimi (Spiderman 3, Spartacus) and producing partner Joshua Donen’s company, Stars Road Entertainment.
Director Michael Dinner (The Wonder Years, Justified) is also set to EP and according to Munson on Twitter, Dinner will direct this spring if the script goes to pilot. And if picked up by NBC, it will debut next fall.
Vanish joins recent NBC acquisitions including Sarah Colonna's 'Life as I Blow It' Comedy, a legal drama from NYPD Blue co-creators Steven Bochco and David Milch, and a drama from Law & Order consulting producer Judith K. McCreary based on the book, The Serial Killer Whisperer.
