NBC Gives Pilot Order to Crime Drama From 'Alias' EP
John Eisendrath is on board as showrunner; "Perfect Stranger" writer Jon Bokenkamp will pen the pilot for the network.
NBC has handed out its fifth drama-pilot order.
The network on Tuesday ordered to pilot The Blacklist, a crime drama from Perfect Stranger writer Jon Bokenkamp and Alias' John Eisendrath, who will serve as showrunner on the project.
The Blacklist, from Sony Pictures Television, revolves around the world's most wanted criminal, who mysteriously turns himself in and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with. His only condition is he will only work with a newly minted FBI agent with whom he seemingly has no connection.
John Fox and John Davis are on board to exec produce.
Bokenkamp will mark his small-screen writing debut with the project. He's repped by ICM Partners, Brian Lutz and Felker Toczek. Eisendrath, for his part, will return to TV after creating NBC's short-lived Outlaw and exec producing My Own Worst Enemy. He's with ICM and Greenberg Glusker.
