'Grimm' Star Bitsie Tulloch Teases a Big Reveal for Juliette (Video)

The actress tells THR what's coming up for her character on NBC's new fantasy-meets-procedural series.

There’s still much more to find out about Nick’s (David Giuntoli) gal pal, Juliette, on NBC’s new fantasy-meets-procedural series, Grimm.

Bitsie Tulloch, who plays Juliette, stopped by The Hollywood Reporter’s studio in Los Angeles while on break from shooting in Portland to talk about what’s to come for her character and the series on upcoming episodes.

In the pilot, Juliette and Nick’s relationship is endangered when his aunt tells him there would be no way for him to balance his new job of fighting off mythical-turned-real creatures with his love life. But, the actress says her character isn’t going anywhere.

“He’s warned to break up with me, because I’m in danger… but I am still here,” Tulloch laughs.

Since the pilot, we’ve learned that Juliette is a veterinarian and the knowledge of that discipline will give the character some unique insights into the creatures Nick and his partner, Hank (Russell Hornsby), are hunting down. But for now, Nick will try to keep Juliette in the dark about his newfound family legacy and that will account for much of the tension between the two.

“There’s going to be some great reveal with my character around Episode 12 or 13,” she says. “But what we play with in the first few episodes is that dynamic, being told.”

“He’s not going to tell me that he can see monsters,” she continues. “Because my reaction is obviously going to be that he’s crazy… It’s very much about the relationship of someone having to hide something so serious from someone else.”
