NBC's Eva Longoria 'Telenovela' Comedy Adds Three to Cast (Exclusive)
NBC isn't wasting any time casting its upcoming Eva Longoria comedy.
Ten days after the network announced a straight-to-series pickup for comedy Telenovela, it has added three series regulars to its cast: Amaury Nolasco, Jencarlos Canela and Diana Maria Riva, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Telenovela stars the Desperate Housewives alum as Ana Maria, star of Latin America's most beloved telenovela, who strives to stay on top in a world where the drama onscreen is nothing compared with what's happening offscreen.

Nolasco (Prison Break) will play the series regular role of Rodrigo, the villain. Riva (The Bridge) is set as Mia, Ana Maria's best friend. Canela (Hunted by Night) is set as Xavier, a Latin heartthrob and telenovela superstar.
Telenovela is a half-hour single-camera comedy series hailing from Cougar Town co-executive producers Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein and Universal Television, where Longoria's Unbelievable Entertainment is under an overall deal. Longoria, Pietrosh, Goldstein and Ben Spector will exec produce.
Canela is repped by DePaz Management; Nolasco is with Innovative, Untitled and Hirsch Wallerstein; and Riva is with Kohner Agency, Gateway Management and Myman Greenspan.
