'Damages' Actress to Co-Star in 'NCIS: LA' Spinoff
Gillian Alexy has joined John Corbett in the planted CBS pilot.
A Damages vet has been added to the cast of CBS' planted NCIS: LA spinoff, Red.
Gillian Alexy, who played Gitta Novak on the DirecTV drama, has landed the role of Special Agent Claire, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
From executive producer Shane Brennan, NCIS: Red revolves around a mobile team of agents forced to live and work together as they crisscross the country solving crimes. The backdoor pilot will air in the spring as a NCIS: LA episode.
STORY: TV Pilots 2013: The Complete Guide
Claire, who graduated at the top of her class at Harvard, is described as "educated, worldly, athletic and as tough as she is beautiful." She has trained with the Navy SEALs, lived with a British SAS soldier and loves all things military, with a strong passion for photography, inherited from her war correspondent father. Though she views herself as a tomboy, the world sees her as a stunningly attractive woman.
Alexy joins ER's Scott Grimes as the team's forensic specialist Dave and Parenthood vet John Corbett as former NCIS special agent Roy Mills. NCIS: LA's Miguel Ferrer will reprise his role as NCIS assistant director Owen Granger, while Red Dawn's Edwin Hodge will play Special Agent Kai.
Repped by Stone Manners Agency, Mark Morris and Associates and Group Entertainment, Alexy has also starred in McLeod's Daughters and appeared in Unforgettable, Nurse Jackie and Blue Bloods.
