'The View' Plans 'One Life to Live' Special for Series Finale
Before the last broadcast of the ABC soap, the talk show will commemorate the series with an hour devoted to much of its cast.
With recent news of Prospect Park shelving plans to give outgoing ABC soaps One Life to Live and All My Children a second life online, the former's Jan. 13 broadcast finale now marks the official end to the series.
And The View wants to see the series go out in style.
ABC's daytime talk show announced Wednesday that it will air a special episode dedicated to the series, hours before its swansong.
The View Salutes ‘One Life to Live' will pay tribute to the 43-year-old series with exclusive footage of the final taping, interviews with returning cast members and packaged clips from the series most memorable moments.
Though the series will announce most of the guests as the air date approaches, The View confirmed series star and grande dame Erika Slezak will serve as the featured guest, alongside series creator Agnes Nixon.
