Discovery strives to answer that question with its new competition series.

The Discovery Channel gives us an inside look at the training and skills it takes to survive in the extreme world of covert operations, counterterrorism, elite combat and law enforcement with its new reality competition series, One Man Army, premiering Wednesday at 10 p.m.

TV REVIEW: 'One Man Army'

Each episode, host Mykel Hawke (Man, Woman Wild), an U.S. Army Special Forces veteran and former Green Beret, puts four contestants through three separate challenges of speed, strength and intelligence. One by one, they’re eliminated until one stands as the winner of both a $10,000 prize and the bragging rights to the title, One Man Army.

The Hollywood Reporter has the exclusive first look at a new series trailer, as well as the premiere’s extreme speed and strength tests.
