'Parks and Recreation' Snags Sean Hayes for Guest Starring Role

The Will & Grace alum will guest star as a television reporter in an upcoming episode of NBC's Parks and Recreation, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

Hayes' character is known to the people of Pawnee as "the Matt Lauer" of their region and he will interview Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), as TVLine first reported, which does not go over very well and could potentially hurt her poltiical campaign for city council.

Hayes is no stranger to NBC, spending eight seasons on Will & Grace as Jack. He also serves as an executive producer on the network's Friday night fairytale drama Grimm.

In addition, NBC is developing a sitcom for Hayes to star.
